Ph.D., Philosophy, University of California, Riverside (2013)

I work primarily in the history of philosophy, focusing on Immanuel Kant and his influence on 20th century European traditions, including Phenomenology and Neo-Kantianism.  Of special interest to me is how figures in these traditions conceive of the interrelations between perception and aesthetics.

I have been awarded an NEH grant and a Hellman Fellowship for the 2016-2017 academic year to work on Cassirer for the Routledge Philosophers Series.
