I work primarily in the history of philosophy, focusing on Immanuel Kant and his influence on Post-Kantian traditions in the 19th and 20th centuries, including Phenomenology, Neo-Kantianism, and German Idealism.  Of special interest to me is how figures in these traditions conceive of the interrelations between perception and aesthetics.

Among other projects, I am writing Cassirer for the Routledge Philosophers Series.
