I work primarily in the history of philosophy, focusing on Immanuel Kant and his influence on Post-Kantian traditions in the 19th and 20th centuries, especially Phenomenology and Neo-Kantianism. Of special interest to me is how figures in these traditions conceive of the interrelations between perception and aesthetics.
My volume on Cassirer for the Routledge Philosophers Series is due to appear in 2019. And I am currently at work on a systematic interpretation of Kant's theory of imagination.
